Transporting a gas refrigerator
Can I Lay My EZ Freeze Propane Fridge Down For Transport?
The answer is yes! You may lay your EZ Freeze fridge or freezer down for transport. If laying the unit down while transporting, it can be laid on one of the sides. (Never lay an EZ Freeze on it’s front or back) It is recommended to lay the fridge or freezer on the burner side – left side as you are standing in front of the unit. SEE PHOTO BELOW Once the fridge or freezer is stood upright and placed in it’s final installation spot, let the fridge sit for 1 hour before lighting.
If transporting on any other side, you must “Burp” the unit when at the final destination before operation. “Burping” can be accomplished by one of the following:
A. Tilt the unit to the left to about a 45 degree angle and hold for 2-3 minutes. then tilt to the right to about a 45 degree angle and hold for 2-3 minutes. Stand the unit upright and let it sit for 24 hours before lighting.
B. Completely turn the unit up side down and let sit on the top for approximately 15 minutes. Turn the unit back onto the feet and let sit for 24 hours prior to lighting. NOTE – turn from side to side, not front to back.
If for some reason, the unit does not cool completely after 2 days of normal operation, repeat one of the above processes.
Please Note: Transporting an EZ Freeze fridge or freezer in an upright position requires no additional steps when the unit is installed in it’s final destination.
